Certified Personal Trainer, Youth Physical Fitness Instructor, Sports Specific Coach. X-treme Bootcamp Instructor. Kimberly has been a personal trainer at Anytime Fitness, helping many clients obtain their fitness goals. I work with you to develop your own unique program.
After spending a good portion of my life as a self-proclaimed couch potato, I got bitten by the fitness bug about 3 years ago when I moved in across the street from Anytime Fitness.Talk about no excuses! A year later, I had lost 45 pounds and was encouraged to become a personal trainer, which I did in July of 2010. My greatest strength in training others is that I’ve been there, I know what it’s like to be frustrated and unhappy with yourself, what it’s like to feel trapped in your own body. I know the difficulty in trying to lose the weight that was so easy to put on,but becomes so impossible to take off. I particularly enjoy working with clients who are just beginning their journey to fitness, and those who may have been uncomfortable walking into the gym that all-important first time. It is incredibly rewarding when a client who, 6 months earlier, couldn’t get up off the floor, can now stand up with absolutely no problem at all, because in the long run, it really doesn’t matter how much weight you can lift, or even how much weight you lose, but that you live a long and healthy life in a body that allows you to do what you want to do, go where you want to go and have fun along the way!
From a young age I have always had an interest in physical fitness. Growing up I was an athletic kid who played a number of sports. Work, family, home life kept me away from it for a while but as my own children have grown older I wanted to become active again. I joined Anytime Fitness and signed up for an intensive training program which really got me in good shape. During the time after my program, I realized how much I had learned about myself and training. I found that I enjoyed working with other people and helping them to set and attain their fitness goals. This created a desire in me to become a professional trainer, and after extensive studying I became a certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). My focus as a trainer is working with individuals and small groups from teenagers to middle age adults. Your fitness goals are my goals too. Join my class today, you'll be glad you did.
